Tribulations

This short film opening is quite good as it could involve a variety of shots which gave the characters some mystery that would intrigue me to learn about the story. Also the music used suits the element of either crime or that a bad situation is bound to happen which translates the situation to the audience.

Labrat

The editing really tells the story of the protagonist quite well. There is some visually interesting elements with the white flash on impact of the punch which transitioned into a scene where he is in welfare. This would seem like a good way to use a juxtaposition to progress through the story. The editing was also quite slow paced which also suited to the pace of the choice of music that was used. The mise-en-scene was usede quite well that audiences can assume that the protagonist is a student causing experiments since he is wearing a lab coat, as well as the set-up of the Bunsen burner.
