Film Noir Research

The colour scheme looks to be monochrome as it has a black and white filter on it. This would make me assume that it would be based in the past. Another piece of evidence that supports that film noir maybe solely based on the past is the vehicle and the building which looks quite old and not very modern. The lighting looks to mainly be low key to potentially capture that theme of darkness and mystery in  this crime themed setting. Shadowing looks to further enforce that idea of mystery. The low-key lighting could suggest that this character is a mystery or is quite evil since he attacks police officers and has his apartment breached by the authority which could suggest that protagonists of this setting tend to be against the law. The colour red looks to be the only highlight colour through out as there is red sirens and blood which could indicate a sign of danger that is within these films. Red can also be used for make-up on femme fatales as an iconic feature that would be mainly seen in these sorts of films as red tends to connote to danger.
